Can previous electrical experience count?
Ask for an evidence-based training assessment and separate regulator advice. Recognition of study does not automatically grant a licence.
What this means for your training plan
Previous experience may support a training assessment, but it does not automatically establish eligibility for a licence. WA, for example, distinguishes apprenticeship, gap-training and other entry pathways.
Ask the RTO what evidence it can assess and ask the regulator separately which route applies. Keep any credit decision, remaining training and licensing requirements in writing before relying on a shorter course duration.
